The only filly in the race, SPARKING WATER has won the R5 million Grade 1 Hollywoodbets Durban July from trainer Mike de Kock. Second place went to Jet Dark, with Safe Passage in third and Do It Again in fourth. Defending champion Kommetdieding finished fifth. It was De Kock’s fifth Durban July win.
