The Calendar 2022, the HRD shares the season meetings

For the second year in a row, the beginning of the much anticipated horse racing season will be affected by the Covid 19 sanitary measures still in force in Mauritius until the end of June. Again this year, horse racing will take place behind closed doors (in camera) with a maximum of 150 employees attending on race days, yet yesterday 2 airplanes landed with 300+ passengers elbows to elbows (no comment). Yesterday, the world horse racing fans all other the world watched the fairy tale win and the perfect retirement gift of amateur jockey @swaleycohen, who had an amazing ride and finish on Noble Yeats at Aintree Racecourse. The world witnessed a sell-out crowd of 70,000 people cheered on Grand National winner Noble Yeats. All racegoers were celebrating and dancing away 2 years of covid restrictions in the UK which lifted all restrictions. Many racegoers were without masks and nor social distancing. Yet, here in Mauritius Island in 30+ degree heat, we are still enforcing face masks, and restrictions which does not work (many studies out there), let alone the useless vaccines which does not prevent any transmission nor does it stop nor protects the vaccinated  from getting the C19. This decision comes despite the fact that several European, Latin American countries and Indian Ocean Islands have all lifted these detrimental sanitary, social and economical protocols in their countries for their economical survival and booster. For any GVT officials or advisors reading in here are 25+ countries that have dropped all Covid restrictions around the world, our neighbours the Maldives, UK, Mexico, Montenegro to name but a few.  Let’s hope we are not the 200th country to do so.

We will update this page as soon as we get more details from the HRD.
