MauritiusHorse.Racing > MHR > TUESDAY 31ST MAY TRAINING (Port Louis)

While the start of the season is still hypothetical, we are entitled to a very lively training session on this Tuesday morning, even if the residents of Ricky Maingard, Samraj Mahadia and Raj Ramdin are not subjected to fast work. It could be tomorrow. 127 gallops are listed, but the highlight is also the presence of couriers from the new Ruhee stable for the first time on the Champ de Mars track: Trippi’s Express, Tripod, Inauguration and the new Trying Times. Led by the ghost Vijayanand Bundhoo, they are just cantering while waiting to pick up the pace in the upcoming sessions. The couriers of Amar Sewdyal, Shyam Hurchund, Rameshwar Gujadhur and Patrick Merven are very prominent, setting good times. A disappointment last season, Count Jack seems to have taken advantage of the offseason to recover his health. Thus, we would not be surprised to see him running on his South African value this year. Imported with a view to taking part in the medium distance races for Ecurie Gujadhur, Holy Warrior and Favor are working fast, a sign that they are on the right track. Also at this establishment, Royal Wulff and Shah Akbar are not forced but they are in very good condition. As a reminder, they are likely starters in our first classic race, The Duchess Of York Cup.

Those that catch the eye are Doublethink, Smuts, Yorktown, Lickerio, Color Of My Fate, Amandla, The Byzantine, Padre Pio, Walls Of Dubrovnik, Emblem Of Hope, Remus, Var’s Elusion, Brabanzio.
